In the new year, I'd like to exchange a few words of blessing with my old friends at San Yin Tang:"Fragrance is brewed into new tea."
The hard work and accumulation of 2025, though perhaps not always ostentatious, have left you with a more solid foundation. Believe that 2026 will not only be a new beginning, but also a time when all the efforts of the past years will gradually blossom into the good news you've been waiting for.
Part 1 | "Fragrance brewed into new tea": A single sentence that connects the path traveled throughout the year.
There's a saying: "Fragrance is brewed into new tea."
The reason I like it so much is that it's not just a slogan. It's like someone who understands life gently reminding you:The aroma doesn't appear suddenly; it's something you slowly cultivate. Similarly, new tea doesn't come from nowhere; it inherits the skill and control you've developed over time.
Looking back on 2025, we all worked very hard. That hard work wasn't always spectacular; more often it was quiet and unassuming.
Honestly, 2025 may have been busy, but what you persisted in wasn't just enduring it head-on; rather, it was becoming better at planning and making better choices. Many things weren't done in vain; you simply gradually built up your confidence.
So, as we move into 2026, I'd like to offer these words to our old friends at San Yin Tang:
You haven't worked in vain; you're brewing a process. When it's brewed to a certain point, the flowers will bloom, and the tea will become fragrant.
Second | Brewing: Leave the "unseen efforts" to time, and don't rush to find the answer.
Brewing is the most fascinating yet most torturous thing. Because it requires you to believe that the efforts you make today may not be seen immediately.
Just like brewing tea—the leaves will only release their aroma when the water temperature is right and the time is right. If you rush to shake or hurry it up, you'll only ruin the flavor.
We've been like this for the past year as well:
• You regain a habit.
• You hone a skill to perfection.
• You take good care of a relationship.
Those are all "brewing." They may seem slow, but they build strength deep within your bones.
If you're still wondering "why hasn't it bloomed yet?", I want to give you a hug first:
It's not stuck, it's just not in place yet.
"Not quite there yet" means that you are about to reach the point where the results will be presented, and you are just a little bit short of the right timing and time.
Three | Fragrance: The results may not be great, but it will arrive first with "fragrance".
Flowers often emit a fragrance before they bloom.
Before results arrive, they often appear with very small signals:
You suddenly become clearer about what you want; you stop being defeated by the same thing; you become more stable in your actions and no longer act impulsively based on emotions.
These are all called "fragrant blossoms." They remind you that you are getting better, but you're too busy to smell it.
I also want to translate "芳菲" into a more relatable, everyday version:
- You started sleeping more soundly.
- You are no longer so harsh on yourself.
- When you encounter trouble, you have a stronger sense of "I can do it" in your heart.
- You no longer feel only anxiety about the future, but also a little bit of anticipation.
If you had a tough time in 2025, then you should light a lamp for yourself in light of these subtle changes.
Part 4 | Entering the New Tea: 2026 is not a fresh start, but "carrying the accumulated experience on the road".
Many people see the New Year as a "fresh start." But I would say that 2026 is a "continued brew."
You don't have to deny the past, nor do you have to pretend to be a completely new person to deserve the new year.
The meaning of "adding new tea" is:
Bring all the patience, skill, integrity, and gentleness cultivated in 2025 into 2026.
The new thing isn't all your hard work, but rather—you're finally starting to reap the rewards.
So if you'd like, 2026 can begin in three very gentle ways:
- Write the goal just rightJust enough for you to do every day.
- Steady the paceIt's so stable that you don't need to burn yourself out.
- Take good care of yourselfBecause you are the "pot" of that tea; only with a good pot can the tea be good.
Fifthly, a letter to our old friends at Sanyintang: May you blossom and bear fruit in 2026, and may all your wishes come true.
Dear old friends, thank you for accompanying San Yin Tang to 2026.
Thank you for every time you persevered in 2025—it was all paving the way for the future.
We sincerely hope that:
Your efforts are no longer just efforts, but results that can be seen, rewarded, and gently received;
Your wishes are no longer just wishes, but are becoming reality step by step;
Your life is no longer just about getting by, but slowly blossoming into the kind of life you love.
The fragrance of flowers is brewed into new tea. Flowers bloom in their time, and your presence brings us fulfillment.
